Dr Oz’s Metabolism Boosters and Fat Busters for Over 40!

On the Dr Oz show today, Doctor Oz revealed his top five metabolism boosters that will help you lose weight if you are over 40 years old! Being as how I am definitely on the wrong side of 40, my ears perked right up because it is much harder to lose weight now than it ever was when I was younger. Dr. Oz said this was for women, but I think it works for men too. My husband has trouble losing weight now just like me and we are both going to try these five tips.

Fat Buster #1

Konjac Root Fiber. Take this to helps you feel full longer and helps regulate hormones and balance blood sugar. Take 20-30 minutes before a meal and Dr. Oz’s wife swears by this stuff. Drink a lot of water with it.

If you don’t like to take supplements, you can also try eating Shirataki noodles as a snack. If you’re starving and need to be filled up, these noodles are high in fiber and have no calories.

Fat Buster #2

Raspberry Ketones. This supplement is safe and helps to burn fat. Take once a day.

Fat Buster #3

L-Carnitine. This boosts your energy and helps your cells pull in fat for energy. Take 500 milligrams twice a day. Read the labels though and take the amount for your current weight. Start with a lesser amount and ramp up to see what works. Dr. Oz also said to take Vitamin C with it or as your first line of offense.

Fat Buster #4

Less Exercise. Do the right amount of exercise so that you don’t have to eat more in order to fuel your exercise. Dr. Oz said to do the Un-workout Workout. Learn to train smarter not harder.

Fat Buster #5

White Kidney Bean Extract. This supplement helps prevent carbs from being broken down into sugars in your bloodstream. Take with meals that contain a starch. Be sure you get the extract.

Sign me up for this stuff! However Dr. Oz said not to go with all four supplements at once. Try them one by one or just try the one that seems to address your specific issue. Personally, I think I’m interested in the Konjac root fiber the most, because I do have trouble with my blood sugar. The White Kidney Bean extract seems interesting too, but I’m worried it will give me gastric distress, which I already have enough of, so I’m going to be careful with that one!

I love your shows, but certain products you talk about, have a multitude to choose from. How do we know which is the best quality. Is there a particular one you suggest to be best?

I tried the supplements that was on the show. I found the l-carnitine in the GNC Women’s “Active” Mega vitamin. The packet includes a fat burner also. Felt great from these vitamins. Two days later, I added the White Kidney Bean Extract and was extremely sorry that I did! This white kidney bean extract gave me nausea, gas, bladder irritation and made my guts ache. Had diareah for a day and a half after taking just two pills with food. After doing some research on why I felt so awful, I found that the carbs ferment in your liver, as they are not digested. Will not recommend or advise anyone to try this particular supplement. Have had good luck with the l-carnitine and fat burner found in the GNC Active multi-vitamin pack and will try adding the Konjac Root Powder when I receive it. I have multiple sclerosis and cannot believe the energy I have from the GNC vitamins. I highly recommend these to everyone that feels tired about mid-day. I don’t have to take naps now during the day, to keep energy, excercise and go through my everyday routine:)

Well, it seems as if a large number of viewers would like to know where to get these fat busting items. I purchased some at my local supplement store. I also made them aware that there would be more inquiries so she should get them on her shelves. I you are going to tout these items you should also research where they are available to your viewers. Or just say you can’t relay that info. That may cut your number of viewers. So please provide sources.
