On the Dr Oz show today, Doctor Oz revealed his top five metabolism boosters that will help you lose weight if you are over 40 years old! Being as how I am definitely on the wrong side of 40, my ears perked right up because it is much harder to lose weight now than it ever was when I was younger. Dr. Oz said this was for women, but I think it works for men too. My husband has trouble losing weight now just like me and we are both going to try these five tips.
Fat Buster #1
Konjac Root Fiber. Take this to helps you feel full longer and helps regulate hormones and balance blood sugar. Take 20-30 minutes before a meal and Dr. Oz’s wife swears by this stuff. Drink a lot of water with it.
If you don’t like to take supplements, you can also try eating Shirataki noodles as a snack. If you’re starving and need to be filled up, these noodles are high in fiber and have no calories.
Fat Buster #2
Raspberry Ketones. This supplement is safe and helps to burn fat. Take once a day.
Fat Buster #3
L-Carnitine. This boosts your energy and helps your cells pull in fat for energy. Take 500 milligrams twice a day. Read the labels though and take the amount for your current weight. Start with a lesser amount and ramp up to see what works. Dr. Oz also said to take Vitamin C with it or as your first line of offense.
Fat Buster #4
Less Exercise. Do the right amount of exercise so that you don’t have to eat more in order to fuel your exercise. Dr. Oz said to do the Un-workout Workout. Learn to train smarter not harder.
Fat Buster #5
White Kidney Bean Extract. This supplement helps prevent carbs from being broken down into sugars in your bloodstream. Take with meals that contain a starch. Be sure you get the extract.
Sign me up for this stuff! However Dr. Oz said not to go with all four supplements at once. Try them one by one or just try the one that seems to address your specific issue. Personally, I think I’m interested in the Konjac root fiber the most, because I do have trouble with my blood sugar. The White Kidney Bean extract seems interesting too, but I’m worried it will give me gastric distress, which I already have enough of, so I’m going to be careful with that one!
