This episode of “Sister Wives” (11/27/11) finds the sister wives talking independently about what has happened with the families since the move from Utah to Las Vegas. In Janelle’s household, there is still obvious emotional tension regarding the move with Janelle although her children seem to be settling down. Over at Christine’s house, all is well with the girls who think it is great living in Vegas. Even though it was difficult for Paedon in the beginning, her seems to be coming around now that his relationship with Dayton (Robyn’s son) is better. Mariah is not adjusting well but accepts Robyn in the family as another mother.
The older children make it well known during an interview they are not so thrilled about the arrival of the new baby feeling there are already too many kids in the family. They will, however, be dutiful and accept the course of things. As Robyn makes final preparations for Solomon’s arrival, the remainder of the Brown adult clan go in search of a location for the fitness center they are going to open. Really? There is not one of them who would be remotely considered fit and they believe they will make a fitness center work? Hmmm….
After they return from the site inspections, the sister wives get together for one of the luncheons they have been having to stay in touch with one another and nurture those relationships. One of the questions Robyn asks is do they want to be made aware of the baby’s delivery if it is in the middle of the night. All but Janelle seem thrilled and willing to participate. Janelle will most likely stay home in bed even though Robyn is preparing to deliver the baby at home.
Christine admits she has been jealous of Robyn and prepared a “peace offering” to give to Robyn when the baby is born. She states she has treated Robyn in a way to make her feel unwanted and this distance or attitude of selfishness is probably what has kept her relationship with Janelle and Meri strained as well. Meri, on the other hand, has developed a true “sister” relationship with Robyn even though she struggles with not being able to have more children herself. It is apparent there is real love there and she is looking forward to this new addition to the Brown clan almost as if the baby was her own.
Robyn is two weeks overdue but on October 25, 2011 at 10:15 PM Robyn goes into full labor. It is several hours before Solomon is born but when he is Kody is emotional. The rest of the family comes to visit the baby and Hunter is standoffish most likely due to the attitude Janelle has about Robyn which probably feeds into much of the sibling’s feelings about the new baby…this goes for Christine and her children as well. All in all, though, it seems everyone eventually is really thrilled about the newest Brown. Maybe Solomon really will be the member which binds them all together and if they can get houses all on the same cul-de-sac, they will truly be just one large happy family with four mothers and one father.
