According to reports floating around the Internet, Jaleel “Steve Urkel” White got into a heated argument with partner, Kym Johnson, last Friday during rehearsal which prompted show producers and Mark Ballas to get involved, evicting the “hot under the collar” White from the studio. Although this duo is currently toward the top of the overall scoring, the performances the past few weeks would suggest there are definitely tensions in the dance camp. White’s emotional breakdown of an incoherent nature last night during the show score reveal was uncharacteristic of the normally upbeat White. Last week, audiences were surprised when Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower were in the bottom three and Gladys Knight was not. This week could the “Empress of Soul” be spared the chopping block once more in favor of producers “releasing” White from the competition on the premise of low scores and viewer votes? It seems there has been nothing but bad following the accusations of White’s ex-wife, Bridget Hardy, who has publicly insinuated he was a philandering abusive husband during their marriage.
Although it might not be White’s finest moments lately, whether or not he is voted off this evening will become obvious during the results show which airs at 9/8c. It is predicted the bottom three will be Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Gladys Knight and Tristan MacManus, and Sherri Shepherd and Val Chmerkovskiy. I think it will be Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy going home, but you never know…stranger things have happened!
It should be a really interesting show as Seal is to perform along with Rascal Flatts and a horn trio named Grooveline Horns. tWitch and Travis Wall from “So You Think You Can Dance” and Kenny Wormald (Footloose) will be dancing. As usual, if you miss the show you can always return to CMR where we will have an informative recap posted following the show.
