The third season of “Sister Wives” returns tonight on TLC beginning at 9/8c and there could not be a more appropriate day than Mother’s Day to launch the premiere with a new bundle of joy for Kody Brown and fourth wife, Robyn. With the move to Las Vegas behind them and the baby born healthy, it would seem that things would start to settle down and back in to a routine…that, however, it not the case!
The four families live in separate houses which makes for separate relationships and greater demands on Kody to perform as the doting father and husband they all knew when living in Utah. It seems the toll of moving and the separateness has placed an undue toll on Christina as she is finding herself feeling shoved aside and out of Kody’s life as his attentions over the past few months have focused on Robyn and the pending birth of child number 17.
It looks as though marriage to wife number three is in jeopardy as Meri suggests both Kody and Christine need to stop blaming one another for the issues and start accepting the roles they have played in the breakdown of the marriage in order to mend the bonds which have been broken. Will they be able to or will there be a “divorce” in the future? It seems as though this season there will be the consideration by Robyn, who just gave birth to Solomon at the end of the second season, to be the surrogate for another baby for Kody and Meri since she is unable to have any more children herself. Will this drive an even deeper wedge between Kody and the other wives for Robyn to become pregnant so soon after just giving birth and with another child for Kody which will be unanswered by any of the other women getting pregnant, especially Christine?
Find out what is in store for this upcoming season as the Browns take on trying to find a way to to patch stressed family ties by building a cul-de-sac of their own when the season 3 premiere airs tonight!
