Last year on “The Bachelor” we saw Brad Womack break the heart of southern belle, Emily Maynard, who now returns to find the love of her life and a father for her daughter, Ricki. This is just one of the situations which will make this season of “The Bachelorette” different from any of the previous seven seasons…there is a young child involved whereas all the other leading ladies have been childless and fancy free. Speaking of fancy free, this season will not see the outrageous antics recently exposed on “The Bachelor” with Ben Flajnik as there are little eyes who may be watching mama as she dates different suitors…so if you are looking for some serious hottub action, this is NOT your season!
There are several interesting situations which will occur this evening during the preview. First, Emily meets a race car driver named Arie and if you remember, she was engaged to NASCAR driver, Ricky Hendricks, before he was tragically killed in a plane crash. This will undoubtedly stir some emotions in Emily but will it place him on the inside track in the pole position or be a caution flag? The helicopter entrant is NOT Bentley, according to a statement released by Chris Harrison, who has informed the public it is just another stunt by a suitor trying to make a first impression and unfortunately this one seems to go over about as well as the masked man in the previous season of “The Bachelorette” with Ashley Hebert. Tune in tonight for the season premiere which starts at 9:30/8:30 following the semi-final round of “Dancing with the Stars” to meet the initial 25 bachelors who are hoping to make the first cut with one getting the first impression rose as Emily talks and decides which nineteen to continue with in addition to who initially takes her breathe away. Will it be the race car driver, the helicopter entrance, or the man who falls to one knee and presents her with a glass slipper as his princess?
