The Dr. Oz show is all about looking good this summer and Oz has a whole list of new products and methods to get your fat burning engine in high gear. The first part of the show gives us some new ways to boost metabolism. First, Polyphenol EGCG is a compound known for its boosting properties and the best way to get it is to drink Matcha Green Tea. This tea is ground into a powder and will push your body into fat burning overdrive. Oz recommends 3 cups of this a day.
Next, Papaya contains papain, which is a enzyme that helps with protein absorption. Oz says to eat half a Papaya every morning with a hard boiled egg to get you moving. Third, Go Chu Jang is Korean Hot Sauce. It contains capsaicin and it has been proven to cause your cellls to heat up and burn more energy. Finally, Oz says we need to workout better by doing more strength training. Lean muscle burns fat and the more you have, the more calories you will burn in a day.
Did you know that vitamin C will actually help you burn more fat in your workout? Oz says that having enough vitamin C can cause you to burn 30% more calories in your workouts. Next, Ox talks of foods that cut the fat in your body. Dandelion Greens are loaded with protein and stimulate the bile flow in your body. This helps keep all of your plumbing working properly. Arginine is an amino acid that has been proven to slow down the amount of fat your body accumulates. He points to a recent study that showed animals given arginine reduced their fat accumulation by over 60%$. Watermelon is loaded with Arginine. Finally, you need to get rid of all that excess water weight. Parsely is a natural diuretic that will help you shed your excess water.
With all this new data, Oz has an easy Summer Slim Down Diet. First, before you eat any meal, drink a mixture of 1 cup fresh grapefruit juice and 2 tablespoons of Apple Cider vinegar. The vinegar will cause your body to excrete more fat burning proteins and the benefits of vitamin C are mentioned above. Oz says we need this great juice drink about 15 minutes before every meal. Next, he tells us to eat a nice light salad. this is no ordinary salad but consists of 1 bunch of chopped dandelion greens, 1 cup of cut up watermelon, and fresh chopped parsley. Eat this every day for lunch to burn more calories and stimulate your digestive system.
Now making small changes is always what Oz focuses on and these simple additions to our daily routines will have us looking great at the beach this summer. Oz says that we need to be comfortable in our own skin. When you were little you didn’t care about what you looked like at the beach and just concentrated on having fun. He says that being embarrassed about how we look is a key to how we gain pounds. Think about it, if you are embarrassed to go out in public because of your weight, you will just stay home and not get exercise. then you just keep adding on the pounds. Realize who you are and get over being embarrassed. If you can get your mind right, your body will follow and you will slim down.
