Tonight “Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition” return with trainer and transformation specialist Chris Powell and Dr. Terry Schaack at the California Health and Longevity Institute struggling to help 49-year-old Tony lose a large chunk of his 400 pounds which centers near his midsection making him extremely vulnerable to cardiovascular disease issues. According to the biography for Tony on the shows website, he is the father of a severly challenged child who was born when he was just 21 years old and after 30 years in the food industry, he is now jobless, divorced, and teetering on homelessness as he tries to reverse years of using food as a comfort for his problems.
Tony wants to embark on a new path as he faces turning 50 in addition to an upcoming marriage in this one episode, one participant, one year extreme makeover of weight loss and lifestyle change. Through the past twelve months, Tony has nearly been homeless, lost a close loved one, and had a change in his engagement but presses on knowing that the end of the line without the weight loss is sooner than he would like in a wooden box in a dirt hole. Tune in this evening to see the transformation which takes place along with the achievements and setbacks along the way as Tony makes this journey of self-improvement with the help of some relatives, friends, and his newest best friend, Chris Powell, formerly of “The Biggest Loser.” Find out tonight how much Tony loses over the course of the year featured in this premiere for season two of “Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition” when it airs on ABC beginning at 9/8c.
