Dr. Oz, march 15, 2013, is a previously broadcast show where he sits down with Meredith Vieira to have a candid discussion about living with a family member who has Multiple Sclerosis. This who was really an eye opener to the true love and dedication that Meredith and her husband have for each other. Richard, Meredith’s husband, took the bold step of telling her about his disease when they first met. It didn’t stop their love from blossoming and they both seem to appreciate each other very much. I was really touched at the way these two kept thanking the other one through the whole interview.
In case you didn’t know, MS is a disease that slowly progresses and has a range of symptoms that can pop up at any time. One day you may not be able to move your right arm. The next it may be your leg. As the disease interrupts the signal system our body has with the brain, permanent damage is done and eventually a person does not recover fully from the “episodes.” It would be hard for anyone to watch a loved one go through this. Meredith and Richard are a testament to true love because they have shared this disease throughout their long marriage. This show is a must see for anyone who is living with a family member that has MS. It is also a show we can all learn from to make our relationships better.
Since this show originally aired on January 9, 2013, we already have a full recap of the show you can read by clicking here. The show also featured chef Rocco Dispirito and he gave us the latest tips on saving any meal. If you have tried any of the meal savers or if you would like to comment on the Meredith Vieira story, please do so below in our comment section.

There is a test for MS. It’s a spinal tap. They also do an MRI – of the brain and spine – to see if there are any lesions. Usually lesions are a factor to see if you have MS. A spinal tap will show if there is an abnormality. It was the one confirming test the Neurologist told me that diagnoses one with MS. Of course doctors will also test you for other autoimmune diseases and yes, even after my brain and spine showed lesions, they still did a Lyme test on me – which was negative. I know family members who had Lyme and then it turned out that years later, they developed Fibromyalgia.
I’m very sorry that I missed the show with Meredith and her husband and hope to catch a clip of it online.

Thanks for brightening my day.
May God bless you and Richard.
Thanky you for sharing.
Where is the test for MS? There is none. I would suggest that anyone who gets diagnosed with MS be tested for Lyme disease by a Lyme literate dr. Lyme disease is an epidemic that has surpassed AIDS! It is being covered up by mainstream medical. Why? They have patents on all of their drugs. Is MS really Lyme disease? Is ALS really Lyme disease? Is Parkinson’s really Lyme disease? Watch the documentary Under Our Skin. Read the book Cure Unknown. Lyme disease is a HUGE COVER-UP by our very CORRUPT medical system, and one day I hope that those who have caused all of the suffering and deaths, will pay for what they have done. UNCOVER THE EPIDEMIC!
