Dr. Oz says his guest, Dr. John LaPuma, knows the secret to prevent 80% of cancer and 70% of heart disease and it is staring you in the face when you eat dinner. Nutrition is something that is not taught in Medical School so many doctors do not realize how foods can prevent and even reverse some diseases. LaPuma has an easy to remember BITES program that he says will lower your risk for cancer and heart disease. Just Remember: Berries, Indian Spices, Tea, Eggs, and Salmon. If you eat these foods once a week you will be healthier and lower your risk.
As LaPuma goes through his list of Super Foods that fight disease, he gives us some statistics about how they actually work. Many women suffer from breast cancer each year and Dr. John says that research has shown that getting 30 grams of fiber a day will lower your risk by 30%. He goes on to talk about how fiber is a key ingredient to lowering all your cancer risks.
Dr. Oz has LaPuma give us the complete list of foods broken down into cancer fighting foods and immunity boosting foods. For cancer, you need to eat Bulgur Wheat, Limes, Concord Grapes, and Arugula.
