Dr. Oz, September 2, 2013, is running the season opener from last year where our favorite doctor tested the weight loss power of Green Coffee Bean Extract. Does this extract give us a miracle weapon against the battle of the bulge? Oz had 100 women in his experiment and they were given tests to make sure they were healthy enough to participate. Half of the subjects received the real Green Coffee Bean Extract and the other half got a placebo. You can read our full recap of this show by clicking here.
The conclusions of the experiment showed that this is no miracle pill that will cause the pounds to melt away from your body. One of the biggest revelations in the experiment was that the control group still lost weight. Oz did not go into detail about why this occurred. If you are someone who watches Oz regularly, you know that he is always talking about how any successful diet must start in your brain. Our brain controls our hunger and cravings. It also tells us when we need to stop eating. Oz should have gone into more detail about how we need to change the way our brains are wired to really lose the bulge around our permanently.
There was no doubt that the Green Coffee Bean Extract did allow people to lose more weight than the test group. That shows is can be a great aide in reducing our waist size. It is no miracle pill though. I hope Oz expands this experiment and shows us what happens when these people stop taking the pills. Do they gain the weight back like many do when taking other diet products? Hopefully we will see something about that in the new season starting next week.
We have a lot of comments from readers about this new diet pill and will be sharing them later today.
