On today’s edition of “The Doctors”, the doctors discuss a shocking new finding that claims that people can still drink from their used or “dirty” coffee mug, and not get sick from it. This new information pertains to all those stained coffee mugs.
Like any average person in the morning, sometimes all they need is just a little pick-me-up to start their day off. In most common instances, that pick-me-up is coffee. According to several experts, it is perfectly fine to be re-using that stained coffee mug sitting on the table, but there are several things that come into play. That stained and used coffee mug can only be re-used by the same person who has already been drinking from it, and they cannot share it with others. The last requirement is that the coffee in the mug must be black – it must be straight coffee in order to prevent any bacteria growth or potential illnesses from re-using the same mug.
Both cream and sugar, unfortunately, though they help to give more flavor and taste to our favorite coffees, also have the side-effect of promoting bacteria and mold growth in the coffee mugs, requiring that the mug be washed after use every time. Despite it technically being safe to re-use and drink from that same stained coffee mug, a clean and sparkling mug is always the best way to go, as it ensures that there is no chance of leftover bacteria or buildup remaining on your favorite mug.
