Los Angeles (CMR) - Rob Zombie has cemented his status as a movie director with his latest horror, Halloween, which hit number one at the box office over the long weekend.
The remake of the classic 1970s slasher flick took in an estimated US$31-million in theatres across North America.
The insanely funny Superbad was the second highest grossing film, and the nail-biting, ping-pong slash espionage film Balls Of Fury was third.
