What Do You Know About The Oscars

Los Angeles (CMR) - Here are some facts about the 3 films who earned themselves a gateway to the best motion picture academy award (Oscars) at the 80th annual Academy Awards ceremony.
“Atonement”, a war epic about two lovers separated by a conflict in their families, won seven Oscar nominations. The movie is an adaptation of Ian McEwan’s book that tells about a girl who experienced a tragic loss upon committing a false accusation. Keira Knightly starred in the said film and her former British director in the movie “Pride and Prejudice”, Joe Wright, was also the one who directed the film.
“Juno”, on the other hand, is a comedy about a geek named, Juno MacGuff, who gets pregnant and ended up leaving her baby to a childless family after being adopted. Ellen Page, one of the nominees for the best actress Oscar, played the role of MacGuff. Jason Reitman was also nominated for best director and Diablo Cody received an Oscar for original screenplay.
Last but not the least is movie, “Michael Clayton”. The movie centers upon an exhausted “fixer” for a New York law firm and entails a story of personal greed, corruption and moral issues that the characters face in the firm everyday. It has earned seven Oscar nominations.
