Priscilla didn’t stand a chance

Los Angeles (CMR) - When Dancing With the Stars’ sixth season began last month, Priscilla Presley’s first two weeks were fantastic. The 62-year-old showed her elegance and some natural dancing abilities, plus the judges adored her so she seemed like a force to be reckoned with.
After the second week, however, Priscilla plateaued. And over the last two weeks, she actually got worse. On Monday, I waiting for the actual rumba to kick in, but realized about halfway into the dance that it already had. Unlike Kristi, who has set the bar this season, Priscilla didn’t really have much in her repetoire. She missed a turn, at times, her hands just hung there like dead weights, it was basically a mess. The judges lambasted her, but still gave her 7s, though theirs was the lowest score of performance night.
Priscilla was classy right to the end and even she seemed to know she was going. Though it was touch and go for a bit, considering Cristián was in the bottom two with her. Cris’ performances, thusfar, have struck me as pretty average and I think he seems to think he’s a lot better than he actually is. Priscilla called DWTS “an incredible experience” and “life-changing,” then she and Louis had their farewell dance.
Will the show miss Priscilla? Not really. Yes, she’s a classy lady, but honestly? I’m here to see people dance. So I’m cool with her departure.
Next week, the final seven couples perform a dance they haven’t tackled yet and a group dance. Yay! That means the jive will probably be back!
