Cult hit, Donnie Darko, has gotten the nod for a sequel called, S. Darko

Los Angeles (CMR) - Cult hit, Donnie Darko, has gotten the nod for a sequel called, “S. Darko”.

According to ScreenDaily.com, the new movie is set seven years after the 2001 original, when Donnie’s little sister Samantha and her friend Corey begin to experience their own visions during a road trip to L.A.

Lilo & Stitch voice actress, Daveigh Chase, will once again portray Samantha.

Also joining the cast are Ed Westwick, Briana Evigan, and Justin Chatwin.

Shooting of the sequel begins later this month.
