No Suprise, Kristi Yamaguchi Wins Dancing With The Stars

Los Angeles (CMR) - Kristi and Mark were ‘Dancing’ winners!

It wasn’t a shocker that Kristi and Mark were the winners of this season’s Dancing With the Stars. They were arguably the most talented, easily the most consistent, and the only thing standing in her way was her abilities to emote, which she soon accomplished as well. Also, three sets of perfect scores didn’t hurt.

I would have loved it if Jason and Edyta had won, mostly because of Edyta. But I also like that Mark won the title because he so got the shaft last year, when he and Sabrina were knocked out of the competition way too early.

I love watching this show’s finale, mostly because you get to see all the eliminated couples do their thing. And man, was it a cringeworthy mess!

Highlights:

– Penn has huge feet. And he fell while walking up the steps… again.
– Monica looked as petrified and awkward as ever.
– Gute is still adorable.
– Adam hates terrorists. Plus, Julianne’s CD dropped yesterday.
– Priscilla is cut off by Tom. How rude!
– Marlee and Fabian are still awesome. I hope he comes back next season.
– Shannon ignored Samantha when she asked about her relationship with Derek. Heh.
– Mario and Karina were hot. Imagine what they would’ve done with a freestyle!
– Marissa is more confident than ever before.
– Cristian said he will be Cheryl’s friend forever. Awwww.

The problem with last night’s show was there weren’t enough performances. Yes, Usher sang and danced, and even the stuffiest of people were probably tapping their toes. Man, he can move. But where were the pros routines – besides the ones with Usher? Where was DanceCenter? Sigh. I missed Kenny, Jerry and Len’s commentary. The finale just seemed to have a lot of filler, and little substance.

Next season kicks off in September. Can’t wait.
