Los Angeles (CMR) - The release of Tom Cruise’s next film, Valkyrie, which he stars in and produced, has been delayed several times, which is often an indication about the quality of a movie.

The film is based on the true story of a Nazi colonel who led the assassination plot.

Now, there may be another worry for the success of the film. According to IMDb.com, The Weinstein Company gas bought the right to the German film, “Operation Valkyrie,” which tells the same story and plans to release it on the same day as the Tom Cruise version hits theatres.

While a German movie with unknown actors won’t be as big as a draw as an American version starring Tom Cruise, film buffs may prefer to watch a less mainstream version of the story and word of another version may take some of the buzz away from the American production..
