New York (CMR) - Comic book writer Warren Ellis is having one of his titles adapted for the bigscreen.
Summit Entertainment will be taking on the task of developing the adaptation for “Red” while brothers Eric and John Hoeber will be writing the screenplay.
The producer on the project will be Lorenzo di Bonaventura who produced Transformers and next summer’s “G.I. Joe”.
“Red” was a comic series published in 2003 about a former CIA agent who is quietly enjoying his retirement until assassins show up trying to kill him.
With his secret identity compromised and his love interest in danger, the man must reassemble his old team to figure out who is out to get them.
