Holy Box Office Record Batman!

New York (CMR) - The Dark Knight is off to an incredible start at the box office.
The film is exceeding initial expectations, shattering records left and right this weekend.
The most notable: the new Batman film is now the biggest debut ever in U.S. box office history, especially impressive for an opening on a non-holiday weekend.
The Dark Knight took in $155.34 million Fri-Sun.
“It just took on a life of its own,” said Dan Fellman, Warner’s president for theatrical distribution. “You never expect anything like this.”
“The Dark Knight” stars actor Christian Bale as Batman and Heath Ledger as the Joder. The film was directed by English filmmaker Christopher Nolan.
