Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

New York (CMR) -Warner Bros. announced that �Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince� release date has been moved from Nov 21 of this year to July 17 of next year.

The reason given by Warner Bros. for the change is that the summer is the ideal time for a family film release and that the writers strike left a big gap in the summer schedule.

So with this change Warner Bros. will now have a big summer hit for next year as �Harry Potter� goes up against Will Ferrell�s movie �Land of the Lost�.

Now that the spot for November 21 is open, Disney has moved up �Bolt� into that slot.

This change in dates will not affect the release of future �Harry Potter� films and will actually shorten the time between films that fans have to wait.
