Poltergeist remake

New York (CMR) - A remake of the 1982 film “Poltergeist” produced and co-written by Steven Spielberg, is in the works at MGM.

It will be co-written by “Boogeyman” writers Juliet Snowden and Stiles White.

Snowden and White are no strangers to horror films having worked together on “Knowing”, “The Birds” and “A Good and Happy Child”.

“Poltergeist” is about a home that is built over an Indian burial ground.

Two sequels to the film were made in 1986 and 1988. MGM is still searching for a director for the project.
