Arlington (CMR) - “Tropic Thunder” held onto top spot at the box office for the third weekend in a row.

With “Disaster Movie”, “Babylon AD”, and “Traitor” all opening this long weekend, “Tropic Thunder” still managed to hold its own coming in at $14.3 million over the four days.

“Babylon AD” was expected to take the top spot but slipped to second spot with $12 million.

“The Dark Knight” came in with $11 million sticking it in third spot followed closely by “The House Bunny” at $10.2 million and Don Cheadle’s “Traitor” at $10 million.

With only “Bangkok Dangerous” opening everywhere on Friday we’ll see if “Tropic Thunder” can make it four weeks in a row at number one.
