Marmaduke, the lovable Great Dane that has graced the Sunday comics for years and is a popular children’s cartoon, will be coming to the big screen in June of 2010 in a Fox Searchlight release. The movie will follow all of the antics the dog can muster as his owner’s relocate to Florida and is sure to be an instant hit with all the kids.
Owen Wilson, who just did another “dog themed” movie called “Marley and Me” with former “Friends” star Jennifer Aniston, will play the voice of the mischievous Marmaduke. Other top notch performers will lend their voices to the movie also. Fergie, singer for the “Black Eyed Peas”, talented comedians Steve Coogan and the Wayans brothers will play the other “dogs”. Judy Greer, star of the film “13 Going On 30”, Lee Pace, star of the 2003 Sundance hit “Soldier’s Girl”, and the ever talented William H. Macy, star of the hit movie “Wild Hogs”, will have “human” parts in the film.
