London (CMR) - We’re used to seeing Amy Winehouse’s wounds in the very public coverage of her life, but not in this way.

The “Rehab” singer has been diagnosed with impetigo, a highly-contagious bacterial skin infection.

Amy’s spokesman confirmed at the weekend: “Amy has been diagnosed with impetigo which she has been told can be highly contagious. Because of that she has been put on antibiotics and may have to stay home alone for the next few days.”

The main symptom is the presence of open oozing sores.

Amy is being treated with antibiotics and is said to be doing fine.
