It’s Not Easy Being Chikezie

I knew Chikezie was in danger last night, and had been for the past two weeks. But for some reason, I thought it was just going to be another close call for him. Chalk it up to naiveté, I suppose. But it begs the question: why weren’t Ramiele or Kristy Lee in last night’s bottom three?

Los Angeles (CMR) -The votes are in and Chikezie’s time on American Idol has ended.

Chikezie was voted off the hit FOX reality show on Wednesday night after the most votes so far this season were cast.

Chikezie sang “If Only For One Night” by Luther Vandross. Simon said the performance was “cheesy” while Randy thought it was too “old school.” Of course Paula loved it, saying he did a great job.

Jason Castro and Syesha were also in the bottom three this week.

Aside from the results, former Idol contestant and country music star kimberly locke sang her hit single “fall.”

The final nine contestants for American Idol include Brooke White, Michael Johns, David Archuleta, Kristy Lee Cook, Carly Smithson, Jason Castro, Syesha Mercado and Ramiele Malubay.
