Mariah Carey Tops Elvis

Los Angeles (CMR) – Mariah Carey’s new single “Touch My Body” is not only a catchy track, it’s a record-breaking one too!

The song, which has risen to the top spot on Billboards Hot 100 Singles Chart, marks Carey’s 18th #1 tune.

With that the songstress has surpassed Elvis’s previous record of 17 #1′s. The only act who has more hits are The Beatles with 20.

“I really can never put myself in the category of people who have not only revolutionized music but also changed the world,” Carey told The Associated Press. “That’s a completely different era and time … I’m just feeling really happy and grateful.”

Mariah’s new album, E=MC², hits stores April 15.
