Los Angeles (CMR) - After last week’s American Idol shocker, it will be interesting to see who goes home tonight on American Idol.
This week the remaining 7 Idol contestants performed songs from singer/songwriter Mariah Carey.
Given the range of the legendary singer, you would expect the ladies to shine. However, on this night, it was the men who stole the show.
First to perform was David Archulea — who as usual — was technically perfect.
Carly Smitherson was next. She sang, “Without You.” None of the judges seemed really blown away. Simon said she didn’t compare to Mariah.
Brooke White was next. She sang “Hero” and played the piano. Judges liked it.
Once again Syesha Mercado went out of her way to find a big tough song in “Vanishing.” Randy said it was a “tough one” but she “pulled off.”
David Cook was up next. He sang “Always Be My Baby.” Randy said he was the only contestant ready to make an album.
Jason Castro gave another solid performance singing “I Don’t Want To Cry.”
Kristy Lee Cook who did “Forever.” Randy thought it was ok, Paula was “blown away” and Simon said she “held her own.”
Who’s going home?
Cary is likely the Idol who is going home this week. Though i don’t think she was as bad as the judges thought, she does seem to struggle week-to-week.

HAHAHAHAH, not only was she NOT voted off, not even bottom three. Nobody predicted anything right this time! HAHAHAHAH! Way to go, little Irish girl!
