Cook Wins American Idol

Los Angeles (CMR) - America has voted David Cook as this years American Idol.
With nearly 100 million votes, David becomes the seventh winner of the hugely popular show.
Cook won by nearly 12-million votes, announced host Ryan Seacrest.
The buzz around the internet today had Archuleta winning, but as this season has proved time and time again, anything can, and did happen.
Almost unable to compose himself, Cook thanked the fans.
“This is amazing, thank you,” said cook to a screaming crowd.
The final episode of American Idol was a showcase of great music, with performances from everyone from ZZ Top to the Jonas Brothers.
This years top 12 also performed several songs.
Season eight of American Idol airs in January.

What a great season it has been. I am just so proud of both David Archuleta and David Cook. I’m very confident that both will have successful careers in music. I wasn’t disappointed at all last night as I like both of them equally.
