50 Cent, talented rapper and star of the new movie “Dead Man Running”, is very discriminating when it comes to choosing acting roles. The “Crimewave” singer recently said in an interview, “I only go for films which have a certain level of artistic integrity…” 50 admitted he was hesitant when approached to do “Dead Man Running” but was assured of the film’s quality when he found out Brenda Blethyn, star of the movie “Atonement”, would be his co star and he commented, “I knew I would be safe in Brenda’s company.” When asked how she felt about being in a movie with 50 Cent, Brenda replied, “My street cred has rocketed since I have been in a film with 50 cent.”
50 Cent says that the his best character is his rap persona and is constantly amused by the reactions that people have when they first meet him in person. 50 said in a recent interview, “People say, ‘wow he was so nice!’ when I come around and there’s normalcy. They go ‘yes, he was nice!’ and I’ve made no effort to be nice, it’s because they expect me to shoot them. It’s just, because that’s been in my life, and I’ve been exposed to some things they know are true, so they have a different expectation.” Seems like 50 Cent has fun with his image. We think he is great!
