Christmas in July at Target – Black Friday Sale TODAY

Target is having a Black Friday sale today, July 23 on their online store only. The deals are not available in the local retail locations, only online. Thank goodness! I was afraid if I went to Target today I would see the cashiers wearing red Santa Claus hats! Uggh! (Although we could use a little cooler weather right now!)

Today you get deals on toys, electronics, patio & outdoor stuff, home items and women junk (perfume, accessories, clothing, hair stuff, etc.) Evidently Target doesn’t think men shop online on Fridays, as there isn’t much for the guys…just the electronics section. There’s also a 50% off section with some incredible deals. A screen house for $35. The Star Wars blaster for Wii only $10. A bunch of movies for $5. Video games for $10.

Historically, Black Friday is supposed to be the day after Thanksgiving, when the shopping season for Christmas is supposed to start. It was loosely coined as “black” Friday because it’s when sales increase so much that retailers go from being in the red to being in the black accounting-wise.

Evidently Target needs to get back into the black NOW, not in November.
