Los Angeles (CMR) - To many the split comes as no surprise, as US Weekly is reporting that the couple had a huge blow out on Halloween during K-Fed’s promo tour stop in L.A..

Their sources claim that the pair had an explosive argument that sent Britney running out on Kevin while crying.

The couple headed to New York City, but matters seemed to worsen when they reportedly stayed in different hotels. Britney was also spotted crying off and on throughout dinner with a friend last weekend.

Hours after the news broke, she was seen ice skating at Rockefeller Center in New York City.

According to PEOPLE magazine, the singer was later seen dining at an Italian restaurant with friends, even taking breaks to smile and wave at fans.

Meanwhile, Federline spent the night in Chicago, where he was set to play a concert.
