Arlington (CMR) - In the 2007 Raspberry Worst Film Awards, Lindsay Lohan and Eddie Murphy both earned themselves a prestigious title and won three spray-painted Razzie trophies worth $4.89 each, but as expected, the young actress and the comic actor didn’t attend the awards night.
Lohan starred in the movie “I Know Who Killed Me”, playing a role of twin siblings. The movie was a major hit around the globe reaching up to $9 million takes. Lohan’s movie won eight out of nine Raspberries when it was nominated for the worst film award, breaking the records for “Showgirls” and “Battlefield Earth.”
But even from being a famous young actress and singer, Lohan frequently experiences a life full of in-and-out rehabilitation programs and she has already been jailed because of drunken driving and some cocaine possession charges.
Murphy, on the other hand, played the role of an unfortunate hero in the movie “Norbit”, which is the same movie where he earned his award. Murphy’s life is also bounded with controversies (just like Lohan’s). His fostering a child out of marriage with a Spice Girl and the parting of Murphy and his new wife, Edmonds, made headlines last year and this year.
The worst film awards were prepared by the Golden Raspberry Foundation to spoof the Academy Awards ceremony that is to be held on the Sunday.
