T.I. will plead guilty today to federal weapons charges, sources close to the case are saying

New York (CMR) – T.I. will plead guilty today to federal weapons charges, sources close to the case are saying.

The expected sentence is 1,500 hours of community service and 12 months behind bars, if the plea is approved by a judge.

The rapper born Clifford Harris was arrested in Atlanta last October and charged with counts of illegal gun possession.

Already a convicted felon, T.I. was facing 10 years in prison and a US$250,000 fine for each count.

T.I. has been under house arrest the past few months under $3 million bond.
