Los Angeles (CMR) - Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer spend nine date-ish hours together.
Jennifer Aniston was seen in Miami on a confirmed date on Friday, April 25. The lucky bachelor was John Mayer, the gigolo of choice for Hollywood’s most eligible, including, in order of fame, Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz, Jessica Simpson, Heidi Klum, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Mandy Moore, Perez Hilton and Minka Kelly.
The scene of the alleged date was Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink, one of Miami’s top restaurants. The manager opened early for the high-profile pair, who lunched at 3:30 pm. “The room they ate in was almost empty,” a source told Us Weekly. Jen had a chopped chicken salad and John had a ham sandwich, which he shared with Jen. The National Enquirer reports that the date was arranged by Sheryl Crow, who toured with John in 2006. “Sheryl thinks the world of both Jen and John, and knows that they’ve both been looking for that special someone,” some random told the Enquirer.
Tip your hats to the matchmaking abilities of Sheryl Crow, as the set-up appears to be a smash success. The new twosome stretched their lunch into an entire evening, leaving a South Beach bar before 1 am, with John’s arm wrapped around Miss Aniston. Hand in hand, they went back to Jen’s hotel, and what happened next is between Aniston, John, the “Do Not Disturb” sign, and the sources Life & Style will be making up.
It may be a little premature to say, but it seems like Jen has truly broken out of an excruciatingly long dry spell. And when a date lasts nine hours, as this one did at minimum, you can bet there’ll be a second get-together for the jet-setters in the future. John wasn’t the sweetest boyfriend when he was with Jessica Simpson, but perhaps the supersexy glamour of Jennifer Aniston will have him taking things a little more seriously.
Although he’s 30 and she’s 39, he’s made it clear that he’s got marriage on the mind, with a clear criteria set for the future Mrs. Mayer. “I want a woman who doesn’t hear ‘How are you?’ as ‘I would like you to come up with something dramatic now that will allow me to sit in front of you and give you more attention than I would have if you had just said ‘No complaints,’” he told Best Life magazine. “When I find the person I can relate to on that level and who is also a pinup and who also says ‘Can I please take pictures of your ass?’ then I am going to get married to her.
