McGregor Signs onto Da Vinci Code Sequel

Former Friends star, Jennifer Aniston, and singer John Mayer have been spotted cozying up in Florida where the actress is currently filming Marley & Me with Owen Wilson.

Los Angeles (CMR) - Empire Online reports that Moulin Rouge star, Ewan McGregor, has signed on to the sequel of The Da Vinci Code.

Based on Dan Brown’s novel, the new thriller brings back the main character, Robert Langdon, a professor who tries to solve a mysterious murder in the Vatican City.

The 37-year-old Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith actor is attached to star as a Vatican insider that helps Langdon throughout his pursuit of the culprit.

Starring as Langdon is two-time Academy Award-winning actor Tom Hanks.

Also joining the cast as the leading lady is Munich actress, Ayelet Zurer.
