Los Angeles (CMR) - The Associated Press reports that Maverick star, James Garner, suffered a stroke late last week.

However, the Oscar-nominated “Murphy’s Romance” actor, who celebrated his 80th birthday just a month ago, should be released soon as it was a minor stroke.

Garner’s rep, Jennifer Allen, confirmed that The Notebook actor was hospitalized for the condition.

She said, “He’s still in the hospital but my understanding is that he is doing well and will be going home soon. When, exactly, we have not been told yet”.
