Los Angeles (CMR) - After a brief engagement and rumours of a baby on the way, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz were married this past Saturday.

The wedding, which had an Alice in Wonderland theme, took place at Ashlee’s parent’s home in Los Angeles, with Nicole Richie and Joel Madden among the 150 guests.

Simpson’s dad, Joe, performed the non-denominational ceremony in which sister Jessica Simpson was maid-of-honour and Wentz’s bulldog, Hemingway, served as ring bearer.

Simpson also confirmed to wedding guests that she is pregnant with her first child.

A source said: “At the wedding reception, Ashlee told guests, ‘I’m pregnant.’ ”

The happy couple have been dating since last April.
