DeVito Back as Director

New York (CMR) - A novel written by Avi called “The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle” has been adapted into a big screen film with Danny DeVito writing the script and directing the film.
The film will star Morgan Freeman, Pierce Brosnan and Saoirse Ronan with Ronan playing the Charlotte Doyle who is a girl who takes a boat across the Atlantic from England to the US and has trouble with the captain and crew.
“The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle” will be financed by HandMade Films with help from Plaza Productions International.
This will be the first time back in the director’s chair for DeVito since the 1996 film “Matilda”.
Filming will begin in September for a release in 2009.
