New York (CMR) - It seems we can’t go a day without news about Miley Cyrus. Today, word has it that the 15-year-old Hannah Montana star could be unleashing a dance-off on this Sunday’s MTV Teen Choice Awards … with Will Smith.
You know Will Smith, right? He used to be half of the hip-hop duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince in the ‘80s and ’90s. Oh, and he’s also a million-dollar movie star.
E! Online reports that the Cyrus-Smith appearance would be part of the final round of a months-long YouTube dance-off that the teen and her pal Mandy Jiroux (a.k.a. M&M Cru) have been waging against actor-dancer Adam Sevani and his Step Up 2 director Jon M. Chu (or ACDC).
“Will Smith is so cool,” Sevani told the publication. “I did the Kids Choice Awards with him, and he was just so cool. I wanted to use him for our [Teen Choice] performance, but I don’t know if he’s gonna be here.”
After a five-minute battle the audience will choose the winners, who will claim a surfboard trophy.
The YouTube performances have been star-studded so far: ACDC recruited Lindsay Lohan, Adam Sandler, Chris Brown and Diana Ross. M&M recruited Step Up actors Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan.
“They don’t know what we’re doing, and we don’t know what they’re doing,” Sevani said. “They don’t know what celebrities we’re using, and we don’t know which ones they’re using.”
In addition to showing off her fancy footwork at Teen Choice Awards, Cyrus will serve as host.
