Los Angeles (CMR) – Clay Aiken welcomed his first child into the world on Friday.

The American Idol reject raised eyebrows when news broke that he artificially inseminated his much older best friend.

Jaymes Foster, 50 years old, gave birth today to a boy in the Aiken’s home state of North Carolina.

“HE’S HERE!” Aiken confirmed on a posting on his blog. “My dear friend, Jaymes, and I are so excited to announce the birth of Parker Foster Aiken (No hyphens. One first name. One middle name. One last name.)”

Parker was born on 8:08 a.m. on 8/08/08 at a North Carolina hospital, Access Hollywood reported.
