Orlando Going to Sarajevo

New York (CMR) – “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “The Lord of the Rings” actor Orlando Bloom is taking a break from huge Hollywood movies to star in a film about life in Sarajevo during the siege from 1992-1995.

The film will be based on a book by Bill Carter called Fools Rush In, written about Carter’s experience in Sarajevo as an aid worker during the war as well as the challenges and joys he shared with the locals during that time.

Bloom said “A film is a very specific and personal account of Bill Carter’s experience in Sarajevo during the war and we would very much like to make the film there. I’m not in fact playing Bill in this movie but I read the script and the very human story at the very core of this film spoke to me very clearly.”

Filming is set to start at the end of the year.
