Cuba Gooding Jr. is Gifted

Arlington (CMR) - According to The Hollywood Reporter Cuba Gooding Jr. (“Jerry Maguire”) will be playing the role of a neurologist in a made for TV movie called “Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story” that will air on TNT in early 2009.

This is a story based on Ben Carson’s memoir that follows his life as an inner-city kid in Detroit and how he grows to be the director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University Hospital.

“Coach Carter” director Thomas Carter will direct and produce the film with producers Dan Angel, Margaret Loesch, Bruce Stein and Erin Keating.

Ben Carson was presented with a Presidential Medal of Freedom in June for his accomplishments.
