Danica Patrick, IndyCar racer, could be behind the wheel in NASCAR soon. Although Patrick has reportedly agreed to remain with Andretti Green Racing next year for the IndyCar series, she says she hasn’t ruled out running in a few NASCAR events next year. Danica is currently 5th in the IndyCar standing as she heads to the last race in Homestead, FL.
Patrick, who has taken the racing world by storm with her excellent driving skills and all around good looks, even chided a reporter recently when he asked about her future plans before walking away. Dale Earnhardt Jr. has been reported to have been in talks with Patrick about the possibility of her racing with the JR Motorsports Team. Jr. seems to think Danica would be a great fit for NASCAR and recently stated, “It’s interesting to see her interest in NASCAR, it’s interesting for all of us. If we’re a piece of that, if we play a part in that, we’ll see down the road. She has high expectations of herself. She has a lot of those intangible values. There’s a lot of things around herself when it comes to initiative and will power that you either have it or you don’t have it.” When asked about the negotiations Earnhardt replied, “ Right now it’s just Kelley and her having a few phone conversations about it and really haven’t gotten any further about it.”
It will be interesting to watch a woman break into the “good ole boys” club that has dominated NASCAR for so long.
GO DANICA!

who wrote this nonsense? she is barely competitive in indycar, much less nascar.
Actually I think finishing 5th in overall point is pretty good. I would say that she has to be competitive to finish that high in the points standings.
Danica whats her name, should stay in the dying IRL. The IRL was killed because of a lack of talent. Who gives a rats nest about the rich European who can buy a ride? Want to kill racing, follow the IRL format.
