Joe Francis, founder of the popular “Girls Gone Wild” video series, was sentenced today for filing false income tax returns and bribing Nevada jail officers. Francis plead guilty in September for 2 counts of filing a false income tax return and a count of bribing jail officers for food. Under the plea agreement, the Girls Gone wild founder only got 1 year probation and time served (301 days). Originally indicted on taking $20 million dollars in bogus tax deductions, Francis only had to admit to omitting about $500,000 in interest income from his 2003 tax return. Joe also admitted to giving more than $5,000 in gifts to prison employees. He will only have to pay a $250,000 fine to the IRS. Joe Francis sadi after the hearing today, “ I think we won that one.” Francis has promised to stay out of trouble and said he will immediately begin rebuilding the “Girls Gone Wild” empire worldwide. Looks like we will soon see more college coeds bouncing their naked bodies around on new videos soon.
