Nicole Richie in Hospital with Pneumonia

Nicole Richie, the daughter of music star, Lionel Richie, and former star of Fox television’s “The Simple Life” with gal pal Paris Hilton, has been admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. Richie, 28, has been updating followers of her Twitter account on her recent illness. Rumors were swirling that Richie might have contracted the highly publicized H1N1 flu virus, but Richie’s posts pointed to a cold, and her reps shot that rumor down last week on the Internet. On Sunday, Nicole Richie tweeted, “Okay, cold, it’s been six days. Let’s part ways graciously and keep it moving.”
Monday, following that tweet, Richie appeared in court with her lawyer, seeking restraining orders against two paparazzi ; at the court appearance, Richie was noticeably “subdued” (according to People.com) and her lawyer told the judge that Ms. Richie was feeling under the weather. After several days of sickness, Nicole Richie was checked into Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Wednesday for treatment of pneumonia, according to People magazine. On Wednesday, Nicole Richie’s reps reported that she is “doing well.”
