Robert Pattinson, star of the record breaking new movie “Twilight Saga: New Moon”, is riding an enormous wave of fame at the moment. Robert has 2 hit movies under his belt, a rumored relationship with a hot young actress, Kristen Stewart, and millions of adoring fans. Robert is finding fame is a two edged sword as there is a downside to all of this popularity. Robert has only spent 1 day at home with his family and friends this year. Pattinson said in a recent interview, “A week ago, perhaps for 16 hours. That was the first time at home in eleven months. I met my friends. Some of them I haven’t seen for more than a year, and I saw my parents and sisters. To go away from them after such a short time was the hardest thing I had to do in months.” Robert seemed to long for the “good old days” ,before the popularity took hold, when he added about life before becoming such an icon, “I had the best time of my life. I only had a tiny apartment but there were always friends hanging around. Usually five or six people have been staying with me. It felt so wonderfully unconventional. That was the life I had always been dreaming of. A bit crazy but adequate for a young actor.” Robert talked of how he had to give up one of his favorite pastimes in a recent interview with Germany’s Gala Magazine when he said, “I love to travel and to learn from cities and their inhabitants. Nowadays I can go nowhere without having the feeling of being watched 24/7. I do not like this feeling.” Robert Pattinson is feeling the pressure that comes with being in a hit movie like “Twilight Saga: New Moon”.
