The infamous media magnet dad of eight and former co-star of reality television’s “Jon and Kate Plus Eight,” Jon Gosselin headed into court today in Maryland to testify in the suit filed against him by his former network/employee, TLC. Arguments will begin Thursday in the case where TLC wants Jon Gosselin to cease his media appearances, citing his behavior as a breach of contract with the television network that made him and his family a household name. Jon Gosselin has argued that TLC is preventing him for making a proper living by trying to shorten the tether on which he can speak publicly; TLC argues that the contract is still active and valid, and that Gosselin is in breach of it. Gosselin has filed a counter lawsuit, claiming that TLC violated child labor laws in Pennsylvania through the filming of his eight children. Jon’s attorney, Mark Heller argues that there is no real reason for TLC to try and prevent Jon from making a living. Thursday will be the first day the Maryland judge will hear testimony in TLC’s case against Jon Gosselin.
