Champion golfer Tiger Woods has returned home and is at the driving range smacking balls; however when he’ll get back to the PGA Tour is still unknown. Woods’ agent, Mark Steinberg, told USA Today that there is nothing to add to Tuesday’s Associated Press report that there is not yet any set date for Woods’ return to competition.
Woods recently spent a week in family counseling for his recently admitted problems to extramarital affairs and irresponsible behaviors for which he publicly apologized on February 19.
Speculation abounds as to when he will return to PGA golf. Woods has played in the Masters every year since 1995 and has won four of the tournaments. This year’s Masters Tournament is in early April in Augusta, Georgia.
“We already have a wonderful field but it would be great if he played here. We’d be ready,” said Eddie Carbone, executive director of the CA-Championship. “We have contemplated all the scenarios if he did come back. Across the board, we’ve considered what would be needed to deal with all the operational aspects, tickets, the media.”
