Yesterday, Lindsay Lohan filed a $100 million dollar lawsuit against E*Trade for their “Milkaholic Lindsay” baby commercial which first aired during Superbowl in February.
Lohan claims that everyone is relating the baby in the commercial who is named Lindsay to her, and therefore E*Trade is using her name and her character without her consent and without compensating her. She is seeking $50 in exemplary damages and $50 in compensatory damages and she wants the commercial removed immediately from the airwaves.
In the ad, the famous talking baby boy is chatting with his girlfriend using a webcam, and he apologizes for not calling her. He claims he got too busy “diversifying” and playing with his portfolio on E*Trade…you know…. stuff like that.
His skeptical girlfriend asks him if that “milkaholic Lindsay wasn’t over?”
“Lindsay?” he asks, when all of a sudden another baby girl pops up on the screen in his room and says “Milk-a-whaaaaaaat?”
According to Chris Brown, spokeswoman for the group that produced the commercial, the company “just used a popular baby name that happened to be the name of someone on the account team.”
