The Chicago salesman who pled guilty to stalking TV sports reporter Erin Andrews was sentenced today to 30 months in jail. While stalking Andrews, Michael Barrett made videos of her through hotel peepholes and posted them on the Internet.
Andrews, who is 31 years old, told the people at the sentencing hearing that she still is suffering from fear, anxiety and public humiliation.
“I’m being victimized every day…and I did nothing to deserve it,” Andrews said, adding the videos will likely always be on the Internet.
“I’m living public humiliation. It’s my body that’s on the Internet…He stalked me, he terrorized me — this will never be over for me, and I don’t want it to ever be over for you,” she said while looking at Barrett.
He apologized.
Reportedly at least 16 other women have been stalked by Barrett in the same fashion.
